Student Government Association
Senator of the College of Engineering
January 2018 - January 2019
I had the honor to represent the College of Engineering of my university in the Student Government Association (SGA) as a senator.
This opportunity allowed me to voice the concerns of the engineering campus, namely, desired improvements to facilities and computer laboratories, as well as to communicate to students the advancements and programs offered by the SGA.

As a senator, I participated in weekly government sessions that oversaw the distribution of a $300,000 student activity budget, the analysis and passing of student-led bills, and the planning of various initiatives and activities hosted by the organization.

This position provided growth to my local network as I was required to represent a large body of students in events inside and outside of the campus. I also got to use and better my leadership skills in a highly competitive and stressful environment.
